It’s Grow Time!
A New Home for Jewish Deacs
The Jewish community at Wake Forest is growing. Very fast.
In the past two years alone, attendance at Chabad events has doubled, reaching over 400 Jewish Deacs each semester. Every year, more students arrive seeking connection, community, and a place to feel at home.
What began as cozy Shabbat dinners in Rabbi Levi and Shaina’s dining room has grown into a vibrant community with a full calendar of programs, meals, classes, and celebrations that consistently stretch beyond our walls. The space that has held so much warmth and connection is now simply too small for our growing Jewish Deac community.
Our students need more. They need a center that is more spacious, more equipped, more available, more visible, and where there is always a seat for them.
The word is out: Wake Forest is not only a great school, it is home to a vibrant Jewish community. Now it’s time to give that community a dedicated center of its own.
Meet the new Jewish Student Center
Steps from campus, the new Chabad Jewish Student Center on Polo Road will be a dedicated home for Jewish students, open and welcoming around the clock.
Recently renovated and already known and loved by students, the building needs only light renovations and upgrades to become a true center for Jewish Deacs. With a beautiful dining room, incredible outdoor space, a cozy student lounge, library, commercial kosher kitchen, and more, it will give students a place to gather, learn, celebrate, study, connect, and feel at home.
We have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to transform the future of Jewish life at Wake Forest.
We have found the right space at the perfect time. Now, with your help, we can turn it into a lasting home for Jewish students at Wake Forest University.
